A passion to capture couples connecting with natural landscapes

ABP-Poster-75.jpg

Hello lovers,

I photograph weddings and elopements for couples who value story, place, and presence—those who feel that beauty lives as much in quiet moments as it does in celebration.

I received my first camera at seven years old. My parents fed their own longing for travel through National Geographic documentaries; stories of explorers, oceans, remote landscapes, and human resilience. Before long, I wanted to understand the world for myself, and my camera became the way I learned to see.

Photography taught me patience early on—counting frames, choosing film carefully, waiting for light. In college, I discovered the darkroom and fell in love with the alchemy of black and white, perspective, and restraint. Though photography and cinema were always present, my path took me first into geology, living and working in some of the most remote landscapes on Earth. I mapped mountains, studied time written in stone, and learned how environments move, hold memory, and shape human experience.

Those years in the field profoundly inform my work today. I approach weddings the same way I once approached landscapes: with attention, humility, and respect for what is unfolding. I carry this sensibility into every celebration I document.

Ten years ago, I stepped fully into photography as my profession after being mentored by a National Geographic producer. Since then, my work has taken me from alpine terrain to ocean passages, from action sports to cinematic storytelling. These experiences refined my eye and deepened my belief that the most powerful images are both beautiful and truthful.

My approach

I am drawn to what feels real, grounded, and emotionally resonant. Photographing people is an intimate exchange, one built on trust. Being invited into a wedding day is a rare privilege, and I hold that responsibility with care.

Rather than directing moments, I observe. I pay attention to the way hands meet, the way breath slows, the spaces between words. These are the details that endure. My work balances elegance with authenticity, editorial in composition, documentary in spirit.

Each wedding is treated as its own living narrative. I approach every story with the same intention, regardless of scale: to create images that feel timeless, personal, and deeply human.

As part of my commitment to the world that gives us so much, I reinvest 10% of my income into environmental and conservation-focused storytelling.

Place & movement

British Columbia offers a rare convergence of wildness and refinement—alpine peaks, temperate Old Growth rainforests, open coastlines, and vast interior spaces. These landscapes are not simply backdrops; they become part of the story itself.

I live on Vancouver Island and travel throughout British Columbia, the West Coast of North America, and select international destinations. In the coming seasons, my work will take me across Vancouver Island, Tofino, the Okanagan, Revelstoke, Quebec and beyond.

As a French national, I also work internationally, with a deep personal connection to French Polynesia, a place of extraordinary beauty and stillness.

Working together

I bring a calm, grounded presence to wedding days, shaped by years of experience in remote and demanding environments. I know how to move quietly, anticipate moments, and adapt with ease whether documenting an intimate gathering or a multi-day celebration.

Most travel is included in my collections, and my experience allows for thoughtful, efficient planning without unnecessary excess. Above all, my intention is to create space for you to be fully present while I preserve your story with care.

Browse the galleries to experience how weddings unfold through my lens. When you’re ready, I would be honored to tell your story.

With intention,
Agathe
