BC Beach Wedding

I don’t always have the opportunity to photograph old friends, especially at such an intimate event.  Janek is a geologist I used to work with in the Yukon and I was happy to finally meet Zoa and see firsthand how these two individuals compliment each other so well.

The pair had their wedding in late August in heart of the Kootenays at Bannock Point in Silverton.  It was a very romantic, supernatural, and fun celebration of two families coming together to celebrate Janek and Zoa as they begin their new journey.  Their ceremony took place right on the beach, so I was able to capture a beautiful backdrop of mountains meeting the lake. The newlyweds then hopped into their classic convertible and took a spin around the block as Mr. & Mrs. - a very complimentary exit to the overall vintage look & feel of their wedding.  Legends say it was the best and longest celebration along the shores of Slocan Lake.
