Mountain Elopement

What is more romantic than true love? True love that defies traditions and customary rituals, exposing a real connection that brings 2 people together?  For Laura and Dean their love for snowy mountain tops, snowboarding through powder, scenic bluffs with unbeatable views, and #revyphone resulted in an elopement that caught their friends and family by surprise. 
Dean proposed to Laura at Revelstoke Mountain Resort last winter and they said their vows to one another on July 11th, 2019, overlooking Lake Revelstoke on top of rocky ridges.  The couple incorporated a vintage style into their ceremony; old rotary phones, antique jewelry with sentimental value, and a mugshot photo shoot to boot! In the presence of their officiant, Laura/Dean’s cousin and their girlfriend as witnesses, the magnitude of their love was juxtaposed by the simplicity of their ceremony.  In a world that tells people to “go big, or big home,” Laura and Dean calmly respond with “we are home, and we’ll go as big as we choose to”. The adventure continues for this pair as they spend their honeymoon camping around Revelstoke and the Shuswap area, and will no doubt continue on throughout their lives.
