Roger's Pass Wedding

Lauren and James are your mountain lovers; their love for adventure is overshadowed by the love they have for each other; James proposed to Lauren during a sunrise mountain biking adventure.  They said their “I do’s” just outside of Golden, BC at Heather Mountain Lodge on July 20th surrounded by friends and family in a beautiful mountainous backdrop, something they had specifically requested be featured in their photos.  

I got to the know the couple fairly well on our excursion to do their engagement photos, which took place within an intact and easily accessible inland temperate rainforest inside the City of Revelstoke’s boundaries.  James is a geologist and Lauren was adorned with an Agate during our photoshoots, which is a rock that carries a symbol of stability and grounding in one’s life. Along with the stone’s supportive energy, the couple was fortunate enough to have a train pass by during one of our shoots, with the conductor waving hello and blowing kisses – another apparent sign of good luck to usher the couple into their new shared lives.
